Say welcome to our new Lounge Chair (I still have to give her a name)!!! If you remember my last post about the top 10 Best Lounge Chair I had a clear idea that a Mid-Century piece was the style to go for.
I had almost decided to buy the IKEA EKENÄSET Armchair, but my boyfriend made the point that if we wanted a vintage style chair we should perhaps trying and look in a Vintage shop for an actual vintage one (good point, well made….). That’s where our research started: we visited few vintage flea market (there are lots here in London) and some antique shops, but we couldn’t find what we wanted (or it was out of budget). I just got back from my trip to NYC and I loved it! Such a great vibrant, active, fast city: so many things to see, visit and do. I don’t think there’s an easy way to describe it.
While I’m trying to edit the almost 2000 pics I took, I leave you with this amazing Brooklyn Apartment by and for the Architect Brent Allen Buck, which I think represents the perfect NY Style: chich, vintage, sophisticated and simple at the same time:

This Sunday I’ve been to the The Vintage Furniture Flea in Bethnal Green (East London). I have to say that, I haven’t appreciate Vintage Style since I moved to London. This city seems to be crazy about it. Even if I didn’t have much money to spend ( as I’m trying to save it for my trip to NY 🙂 ) I think there were few little beautiful things that make the visit worth while.
The Fair is covering furniture, homewares, textiles, lights and prints, with a focus on mid-century and vintage style. Honestly I found that there weren’t as many pieces of furniture, but the most interesting ones were on a little corner at the left side, just off the main space.
