I had almost decided to buy the IKEA EKENÄSET Armchair, but my boyfriend made the point that if we wanted a vintage style chair we should perhaps trying and look in a Vintage shop for an actual vintage one (good point, well made….). That’s where our research started: we visited few vintage flea market (there are lots here in London) and some antique shops, but we couldn’t find what we wanted (or it was out of budget). I really love when I go to a new city and find some time to browse Design Shops. I had a very nice trip to Gothenburg the last week, the weather was surprisingly very hot too!!

This Sunday I’ve been to the The Vintage Furniture Flea in Bethnal Green (East London). I have to say that, I haven’t appreciate Vintage Style since I moved to London. This city seems to be crazy about it. Even if I didn’t have much money to spend ( as I’m trying to save it for my trip to NY 🙂 ) I think there were few little beautiful things that make the visit worth while.
The Fair is covering furniture, homewares, textiles, lights and prints, with a focus on mid-century and vintage style. Honestly I found that there weren’t as many pieces of furniture, but the most interesting ones were on a little corner at the left side, just off the main space.
