Life has been pretty hectic in the last few weeks, lots of deadlines at work, and trying to squeeze in my half-marathon training with the rest of the daily tasks it’s been pretty challenging….pffff relax that’s what I need!!!
This amazing Vincent Van Duysen Penthouse in Antwerp seems to offer the perfect place to relax and clear the mind. I wish I could spend some time there today:
I’ve always been a big fan of his architecture and style and this penthouse it’s not disappointing me: it seems to be a brilliant expression of his minimal style.
Textures and materials are simple but rich at the same time: perfect polished concrete floor and walls, dark wood for a beautiful and calm color tone:
I really like the use of the wood in the toilets, the mirrors almost disappear on the concrete wall interrupted just by the black water taps. (A really good inspiration for our future bathroom make-over ?)
The freestanding bathtub is of course made of concrete too and in my opinion looks stunning and luxury:
I love this place, perhaps is missing few personal touches, but the pure and simple game of the geometries and the master use of materials is outstanding! I’m already feeling much calm just by looking at it!
