A Clutter free Toronto House

Don’t you have that deep urge of decluttering things in January? I do every year, and I think this is the perfect month for it (despite the winter sales).
I have to admit that the owners of this lovely house in Toronto totally nailed it:

The color palette is very calm and relaxing, the Total White Look is warmed up by the natural wood of the furniture and by the greenery. The simple layout of the Living space is styled with Scandinavian pieces of furniture: the two Norman Copenhagen Tablo coffee table, the beautiful Chair by Hay , the IKEA Frosta stool; the gray Sofa is the only Canadian piece and is from PavilionModern.

The dining and kitchen spaces fell very bright and airy, the two big windows overlooking the outside green are making the most of the natural light into the space. I totally love the white kitchen with the big American style fridge.  The black pendant lamps by Muuto connects well with the black dining chairs.

The beautiful Poster sitting on the IKEA wall mounted cabinet is from the talented Coco Lapine.

The same calm and relaxing feeling can be found in the bedrooms: fresh and white with just some minimal IKEA furniture, with casual pictures placed on the floor or on shallow shelves.

I think this house really looks so relaxing and fresh, I hope you’ll get some inspiration from it, I’m already taking some 🙂

  1. Hello there and a wonderful new year to you!
I always do a purge in my home in January. It just feels right and the afterwards feeling is so rewarding. My favourite space from the photos above is the kitchen. Really nicely balanced, very simple and still so inviting.
All the best wishes to you and your blog in 2017!

    Hugs from Sweden xx

    1. Thank you Natalia! Happy new year too! I totally agree with you, it’s so liberating 🙂 I love that kitchen: I’m so jealous of those white simple and minimal spaces, I can easily picture myself cooking a nice meal over there 😛. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by.xx
