Hi there, yesterday I went to the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. I’ve been to this event a couple of times before and I always find it very inspiring to discover new artist and (perhaps) finding some nice pieces to decorate my house.
Here’s is my top 10:
1. Patrick Ybartina | New York and London
A stunning piece of art, by the Canadian artist Patrick Ybartina. The London one is my favorite, the light is beautifully balanced. It was the last piece I saw and it was love at first sight (unfortunately, the price was way over my budget 😦 )
Gagliardi Art Gallery, London

2. Eline de Jonge | Shadows Paris
Lovely paintings by the dutch artist Eline de Jonge, I was captured by the different point of view. Perfectly balanced compositions between movement and quietness, light and shadows. The dynamic city scenes have a great sense of calmness. I think the Paris shadows one will look perfect in my bedroom 🙂
Villa del Arte Amsterdam

3. Antoinette Momtahan | Prints
Antoinette’s prints are beautifully simple, delicate and balanced. Almost a modern version of Kandinsky. The kind of print that will look beautiful in any house.

4. Grant Smith | Jump
I love photography like this one from the Australian bphotographer Grant Smith. His work has a graphic, conceptual, cinematic identity. This photo captures that perfect, calm moment before the splash, the contrast between light and shadows is also magic.

9. Bui Van Hoan | Dawn
Bui Van Hoan is a master of light. Those very peaceful and Zen-like paintings details seem to appear as you contemplate it.

10. Rachel Tighe | London Landmarks
Between pop art and architectural urban sketches those bold paintings are colorful and vibrant, and they’ll look perfect on any white wall (prices are quite ‘affordable’ too). Rachel Tighe has got a collection of different cities, definitely an artist who is worth having a look at.

Pingback: 10 Favorite Artworks from Affordable Art Fair 2017 – I Love Beautiful Things
Antoinette Momtahan’s new work has a precise clarity which we all seek to enhance our natural simplicity in our homes.
Such defined shapes offer a nod indeed to Kandinsky however they allow the seer to abstract their own creative mind journey…..simply beauty to ase our minds.
