I really love when I go to a new city and find some time to browse Design Shops. I had a very nice trip to Gothenburg the last week, the weather was surprisingly very hot too!!
Here’s a little Shopping Design Guide of the city:
NORRGAVEL
This beautiful furniture shop capture my attention straight away. The Company was founded in 1991 by Nirvan Richter, architect from KTH. The style is clearly visible by the use of locally sourced material: oak wood, local leather, etc.
But it is not just furniture that they sell, but an approach to interiors and to life in general. Accessories, Fabric, leather, few books are also on sale.
I fell in love with those Easy Chairs, so beautiful ( but the price is a bit over my budget).
I bought just a beautiful notebook, but I would have bought everything!!!!

ARTILLERIET
This one was a bit hidden, and I almost missed it: the entrance is from the square just in front of Norrgavel Shop, you will see the big Artilleriet flag.
The showroom opens up on this big industrial space, and it is simply a collection of all the beautiful things I like: Candles, furniture, books, posters, decoration, all in pure Scandinavian style & design.
The light is very soft and the atmosphere is really relaxing, the staff is incredible friendly and helpful. A real feast for your eyes.

ARTILLERIET STUDIO
This one was probably the best discovery of the trip. Hidden inside a little door on the opposite side from the main shop, there’s this Studio styled and designed by the Artilleriet interior design team.
It’s a new creative venue: three rooms and a kitchen filled with art, furniture, textiles and details – Basically a home in which I wish I would live!
The staff was really kind in showing around the all space: you really feel like stepping into some one house. I also got an amazing brochure, which is a real source of inspiration.
It’s open just on Wednesday- Sunday, so plan your visit !

ARTILLERIET KITCHEN
This is the 3rd and last shop by Artilleriet, not far from the main one, and it’s all focus on Kitchen utensils and accessories.
The objects are placed in meticulous order on the big central table and some are hanging on the wall and ceiling.
Lovely linen aprons and napkins, are also scattered around…
Absolutely Lovely!!!

What a great guide, now I want to visit Gothenburg again (I went once but only for a few hours before going to the airport so no time for shopping..)
