I can’t believe it’s September already.
I always loved and hated this time of the year: summer is almost over, schools starts again (sometimes I wish I was still at school), days are getting shorter, but, at the same time, it is the best moment to start with some fresh ideas, change things, clean the house, buying new schoolbooks ( do you remember the excitement of buying new notebooks, books and pencils before school starts? I can almost smell it :0 ), or simply make some plans for winter.
So this moth is full of exciting trips for me: I’m off to Gothenburg for few days soon and….to NY at the end of the month. I can’t wait for it, we booked flight a while ago and now that is getting closer the excitement is growing.
But, while I’m preparing for my trip to Sweden, I am fully getting into the Scandinavian mood. Have a look at this lovely apartment:
I love these floating shelves. You can probably have a similar look with some Ikea Lack shelves.
I am trying to convince Evin to have some at home but…it’s a hard battle 🙂 The leather basket and the sheepskin are also lovely – I saw so many beautiful sheepskins on my last trip to Ireland and now I regret I didn’t buy one 😦 –
The simplicity of the kitchen, even if small, is enriched by the gold tap and sink ( a good detail to keep in mind for our future kitchen makeover). The Muuto E27 Lamps in gold complete the look.
The decoration is minimal and very well balanced, I love the little square pot with the green that re connects with the outdoor trees.
The withe sideboard reminds me of my Tv stand, I like the idea to have it floating on the wall and add few pictures on top.
I hope my AirB&B flat in Gothenburg will look something like that 🙂 If you have any comment and suggestion for this city please let me know!
