Happy Friday! The weather has been so lovely here in London this week, that it’s still making me feel like I’m on holiday.
To keep the mood going, I’m gonna share a few more pics of the White & Blue House:
The living room is dominated by the curvy lines of the fireplace and the two little arched windows.
The vintage wicker chair has been restored and has stripy white and light blue fabric cushions, the same fabric has been used for the curtains and the sofa. The floors of the entire house are covered with local ‘terracotta’ tiles.
The big urn (found at a local garden shop)is placed at the entrance under one of the typical light feature – same one used on the exterior-
I love how the rough texture contrasts the white wall.
Simple locally found marine decorations are used to style the space:
The outdoor terrace is the perfect place to repair from the hot sun
After a splash into the swimming pool :
And followed by a cold drink 🙂
Hope you enjoyed this second set of photos. I’m off to Ireland this weekend, I’m not expecting those sunny days, but I’m really looking forward to it.
Have a good weekend.

Hi. Yes, I live in Auckland. I come from a long line of architects (4 generations!) so even though I am not one I have always been exposed to it all!

I love the organic shapes – especially in the living room. You might enjoy this video about a New Zealand Architect called Fritz Eisenhofer who created an amazing dome house in a remote area called Peka Peka https://vimeo.com/161693088. Another NZ architect you might like looking at is Ian Athfield.
