I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it but I do have a thing with black and white.
You can probably notice, if you’re following me on Instagram, but I can’t help it…
I do try and apply black & white as much as I can to my interiors too. When we renovated our flat, we had it panted all white, the painter asked me 3 or 4 times if I was sure I wanted just white :-). I am super happy with it as it makes the space much bigger and brighter.
Our flat is very bright, apart from the entrance that is pretty long and narrow and I wanted to do something a bit happier without overdoing with colour.
I found this reference image on one of my favourite blogs Design and Form and I tried to replicate on my much smaller hallway:
I used MUUTO dots hangers to create an articulate pattern on the only free wall.
A little trick: to decide on the perfect pattern, I drew some paper circles of the same size and then tried the composition on the wall using masking tape.
The rug on the floor is from Cargo (one of my favourite shops in Milan) . The wall sticker ‘KEYS PHONE WALLET GLASSES’ is from H2U Design & Art which I absolutely love it, and it always makes people leave our house with a smile 🙂
The yoga mat cover is the perfect final touch, I made it myself with some IKEA b&w stripy fabric ( I might do a quick tutorial in the future…)
WHAT I LIKE: The Funny sticker
WHAT I DON’T LIKE: The Muuto hangers were pretty challenging to fix on a plasterboard and dab wall, we had to use longer wall plugs…
WHAT I’D CHANGE: The entrance door is the only non white thing, it’s on my to do list, I need to find a paint that will work on that surface 😦
What’s you favourite colour combo and how do you dress your hallway??
